About ArtOf_Nobody

ArtOf_Nobody is the creative identity of Shaakir Cassiem, a Cape Town–based CGI and VFX artist specializing in cinematic visual effects and technical 3D production. As a life-long artist, Shaakir has spent most of his adolescence illustrating and creating music, and has since branched into filmmaking and CG production in adulthood.

Shaakir's career started in engineering where he developed a strong foundation for problem solving and systems thinking. Naturally, this combined with his artistic interests and turned into a fascination with visual storytelling and digital-worldbuilding, leading him into CGI and VFX. The 3D workflow became his ultimate creative outlet.

Over the past several years, he has built a career producing 3D and composited visuals for commercials, branded films and music videos, handling everything from modeling and animation, to lighting and compositing. His works blends artistic sensibility with technical control, allowing him to move seamlessly between the creative and production sides of a project. Today, ArtOf_Nobody partners with brands, agencies and production companies to create premium CGI & VFX content.​
